1979 ഡിസംബർ 31-ന് പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ തെരുവ് ഗീതം എന്ന മലയാള ആൽബത്തിലെ ഒരു മലയാളം ഗാനമാണ് "ഹൃദയം ദേവാലയം". ഈ ആൽബത്തിന് സംഗീതം ഒരുക്കിയത് ജയ വിജയയാണ്. സംഗീതം ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമാക്കിയ സംഗീതജ്ഞയാണ് ജയ വിജയ. ഭക്തിയും സംഗീതവും ഒന്നായി കണക്കാക്കാമെന്ന് തെളിയിച്ച സംഗീതലോകത്തെ അപൂർവ ഇരട്ടയാണ് ജയ വിജയ. ബിച്ചു തിരുമലയാണ് വരികൾ എഴുതിയത്. ബി. ശിവശങ്കരൻ നായർ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ബിച്ചു തിരുമല ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ഗാനരചയിതാവും കവിയുമായിരുന്നു. മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ ഒരു കൂട്ടം ഗാനരചയിതാക്കളുടെ നേതാവായിരുന്നു ബിച്ചു തിരുമല. കെ ജെ യേശുദാസ് ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചു. മലയാളത്തിലെയും ഇന്ത്യയിലെയും ഏറ്റവും ജനപ്രിയ ഗായകരിൽ ഒരാളാണ് യേശുദാസ്, പലപ്പോഴും ഗാനഗന്ധർവൻ എന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ശിവരഞ്ജിനിയാണ് ഗാനത്തിന്റെ രാഗം.
