The Telugu Cine Industry had established itself alongside the Tamil Industry in the city of Chennai. After all, in those days, before independence, Andhra and Tamil Nadu were part of the then Madras Presidency. After independence, in the 50s, the government of Andhra Pradesh offered many incentives to those willing to establish their studios in the city of Hyderabad. That led to the opening of the Sarathi Studios and the Bhagyanagar Studios. Follow this interesting story of the shifting of the Telugu Cine Industry from Madras to Hyderabad, under the aegis of minister Konda Ranga Reddy, and the establishment of the Annapurna Studios by Akkineni Nageswara Rao and so on till the present day.
