Historic Vs Historical - 11

Images | English

Historic and historical are two adjectives with very similar meanings, so it's no surprise that they're frequently confused. They are not, however, two different spellings for the same word, so you should know which to use. When we talk about people, places, or events that happened or happened in the past, we use the adjective historic. However, we can't apply the adjective to everything that has to do with the past; it can only be applied to things and people who have played a significant role in history. We use the adjective historical to describe other people or places from the past, as well as things related to history.
