Although she later lost the electoral college, Clinton won wide recognition and support. Born on the 26th of October, 1947, Clinton served the 67th United States secretary of state from the year 2009 to 2013, from the position of a United States senator from New York from the year 2001 to 2009, and also as the first lady of the United States from 1993 to 2001, as wife to then-President Bill Clinton. Hillary Clinton also played a huge part in advocating for the creation of the new State Children's Health Insurance Program back in 1997 and 1999. Today, an initiative called the Clinton Foundation has been set up and is fully functioning towards the betterment and success of society."
