Is there any Malayali who doesn't know the lines of hayyada maname ? It is typically about a matchstick and about how short its life is. ഹയ്യട മനമേ എന്ന വരികൾ അറിയാത്ത മലയാളിയുണ്ടോ? ഇത് സാധാരണയായി ഒരു തീപ്പെട്ടികൊള്ളിയെ കുറിച്ചും അതിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് എത്ര ചെറുതാണ് എന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ചും ആണ്. ഉരയ്ക്കുമ്പോൾ തീ കത്തും എന്നാൽ അത് ഊതുമ്പോൾ തീ നശിക്കും. ആരെയെങ്കിലും കളിയാക്കാനുള്ള ഭാവത്തോടെ ഈ കവിത കളിയായ രീതിയിൽ പാടാൻ മിക്ക കുട്ടികളും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നു.
