"Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!" is one of many carols that have a rich theological tradition. Charles Wesley, an English Methodist leader and hymn writer, wrote it. Wesley wrote more hymns than any other male writer, over 6,000 in total. It describes the happy news of the birth of the Savior God has sent His Son to reconcile the sinner to Himself. As a result, all nations should rise and sing and proclaim the good news of Christ the King! The song further discusses the mysticism of Christ's coming and the good news it brings. The final stanza describes Christ's accomplishment and the power that it brings. "Hark!
