Every year on October 5, World Teachers' Day or International Teachers' Day is commemorated to raise awareness about issues affecting teachers and educators. It focuses on teacher appreciation, assessment, and necessary changes, as well as honouring teachers for their contributions to students. Since 1994, World Teachers' Day has been observed. The goal of this day is to promote teacher assistance and raise awareness about the importance of teachers in meeting the needs of future generations. Today, the day is commemorated in more than a hundred countries around the world. On this day, special programmes honouring teachers are held in schools and colleges.
