The term “group dynamics” describes the way in which people in a group interact with one another. When dynamics are positive, the group works well together. When dynamics are poor, the group’s effectiveness is reduced. It can be used as a means for problem-solving, teamwork, and to become more innovative and productive as an organization. The concept of group dynamics will also provide you with the strengths, success factors and measures along with other professional tools. In the specific case of a class group, the dynamics will have the purpose of stimulating learning, socialization, creativity, cohesion, communication, cooperation, autonomy, responsibility, among other things. Besides this, they will help to solve problems and conflicts within the group. Examples include mechanisms for dealing with status, reciprocity, identifying cheaters, ostracism, altruism, group decision, leadership and intergroup relations.
