We are already seeing the effects of climate change, but thankfully, the planet is equipped with a powerful tool for stabilizing the climate: nature itself. Protecting nature today means a better planet for future generations. Greenhouse effect is a natural process that warms the earth's surface. When the sun's energy reaches the earth's atmosphere, some of the energy is reflected back to space and the rest is absorbed and reradiated by greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases include water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, ozone and some artificial chemicals such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). The absorbed energy warms the atmosphere and surface of earth. The greenhouse effect is one of the things that makes Earth a comfortable place to live. This process maintains earth's temperature at around 33°C. But this temperature is increasing rapidly due to human activities like burning fuels (coal, oil, natural gas), agriculture and land clearing. There is only one earth for living beings and if such a process continues, then earth will become a burning planet which cannot be inhabited anymore.
