Grandparents' Visits

Presentations | English

Grandparents are like vitamins which are essential for a child’s growth. In many ways, children benefit from developing a relationship with their grandparents. Grandparents can be beneficial influencers and role models, as well as providing a feeling of cultural heritage and family history. Grandparents adore their grandchildren, care about their well-being, and can make them feel secure. Grandparents also support a child's healthy growth. Overnight vacations to Grandma's house, for example, may be less stressful than sleepovers with friends and can aid in the development of independence in children. Another advantage is that grandparents may have more time to play with and read to their grandchildren. A child's development and learning skills will only benefit from such focused attention. However, in today's society, families may be dispersed across the country, and busy school and work schedules may prevent frequent time with grandparents. You can urge your children to create a closer relationship with their grandparents despite physical distance or busy schedules. Whether your grandparents live close or you're planning a visit, remember to keep safety in mind. Grandparents may be unaccustomed to having small children in the house, and household dangers may result in visits to the emergency room.
