Good Vs Well - 06

Images | English

Misusing the words good and well is a common English mistake. Good is an adjective, and well is an adverb, according to the rule of thumb. The adjective good modifies a noun; something can be or appear to be good. A verb can be modified by the word well; an action can be performed well. When it comes to health, however, well can be used as an adjective. When deciding whether to use good or well in your sentence, keep in mind that good modifies a person, place, or thing, whereas well modifies an action. Your day is going well if you're having a good time.
