P Madhuri sang the song "Gokulashtami naal innu" for the film Chayam. G Devarajan master composed the music, and Vayalar Ramavarma wrote the words. The Vayalar-Devarajan combo was the most successful team until Vayalar's death in the mid-1970s. Malayalis still recall hundreds of the team's songs fondly. Madhuri must be among the first foreign language vocalists to enter the malayalam cinema music industry, as she is a singer who felt obligated to learn the language fluently. As a result, madhuri's songs are easy to understand. Sudheer and Sheela feature in Chayam, a Malayalam film released in 1973. P N Menon directed the film. Palissery Narayanankutty Menon, also known as P. N. Menon, was a Malayalam film director and art director. He is well known for his work as a promotional poster designer.
ചായം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടി "ഗോകുലാഷ്ടമി നാൾ ഇന്ന്" എന്ന ഗാനം പാടിയത് പി മാധുരിയാണ്. ജി ദേവരാജൻ മാസ്റ്റർ സംഗീതം പകർന്നു, വയലാർ രാമവർമ വരികൾ എഴുതി. 1970 കളുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ വയലാറിന്റെ മരണം വരെ വയലാർ-ദേവരാജൻ കോംബോ ആയിരുന്നു ഏറ്റവും വിജയകരമായ ടീം. ടീമിന്റെ നൂറുകണക്കിന് ഗാനങ്ങൾ മലയാളികൾ ഇപ്പോഴും സ്നേഹത്തോടെ ഓർക്കുന്നു. മലയാളം സിനിമാ സംഗീത രംഗത്തേക്ക് കടന്നുവന്ന ആദ്യ വിദേശ ഭാഷാ ഗായകരിൽ ഒരാളായിരിക്കണം മാധുരി, കാരണം ഭാഷ നന്നായി പഠിക്കാൻ ബാധ്യസ്ഥയായ ഒരു ഗായികയാണ് മാധുരി. തൽഫലമായി, മാധുരിയുടെ പാട്ടുകൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ എളുപ്പമാണ്. 1973-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ചായം എന്ന മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രത്തിൽ സുധീറും ഷീലയും അഭിനയിക്കുന്നു. പി എൻ മേനോൻ ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തു. പി. എൻ മേനോൻ എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന പാലിശ്ശേരി നാരായണൻകുട്ടി മേനോൻ ഒരു മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്ര സംവിധായകനും കലാസംവിധായകനുമായിരുന്നു. പ്രൊമോഷണൽ പോസ്റ്റർ ഡിസൈനർ എന്ന നിലയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രശസ്തനാണ്.
