"Ghafir (The Forgiver) is the fortieth Surah in the Holy Book of Quran. Also called ""Al-Mu'min"", meaning, ""The Believer"", the Surah comprises of a total of 85 verses (ayah) divided into 9 Rukus or Sections. The names of the title were derived from the 3rd verse and the 28th verse. Of the same revealation period as that of Surah Zumar, Surah Ghafir is a Meccan Surah and it revokes the idea of God's signs and of his favours. It speaks about the story of Moses and Pharaoh with very valuable lessons to learn from it. It contains stories about how Moses was looked down upon and accussed. The Surah begins by stating that the Quran itself is a revelation from the one True God. Eventually, it acts as a warning to the non believers and tells them that the Judgement Day is on the way."
