Thaan oru bhajanayakathathil lejjichh vathililthanne ninna kavithaye Gandhi adhyam sradhichilla...” Sachidanandan was a poet born in Kodungalloor in Trissur district. He was very active in many popular cultural forums. He was the secretary of the Kendra Sahitya Academy. He was recipient of the Eminent Member of the Kerala Sahitya Academy award in 2010. He won the Kendra Sahitya Academy award for his poem collection “Marannuvecha Vasthukal” in the year 2012."
"മലയാളം കവിത - ഗാന്ധിയും കവിതയും, രചന - കെ സച്ചിദാനന്ദൻ , ആദ്യവരികൾ :- ""‘ഒരു ദിവസം മെലിഞ്ഞ ഒരു കവിത ഗാന്ധിയെ കാണാൻ ആശ്രമത്തിലെത്തി. കുനിഞ്ഞിരുന്ന് രാമനിലേക്കുള്ള നൂൽ നൂൽക്കുകയായിരുന്നു ഗാന്ധി. താൻ ഒരു ഭജനയാകാത്തതിൽ ലജ്ജിച്ച് വാതിലിൽത്തന്നെ നിന്ന കവിതയെ ഗാന്ധി ആദ്യം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചില്ല."" മലയാളത്തിലെ ഒരു കവിയാണ് സച്ചിദാനന്ദൻ . തൃശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂരിലാണ് ഇദ്ദേഹം ജനിച്ചത്. ജനകീയ സാംസ്കാരിക വേദിയിലെ സജീവ പങ്കാളിയായിരുന്ന സച്ചിദാനന്ദൻ കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമിയുടെ സെക്രട്ടറിയായും പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 2010-ൽ കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി വിശിഷ്ട അംഗത്വം നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു. 2012ൽ കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് ""മറന്നുവെച്ച വസ്തുക്കൾ"" എന്ന കവിതാ സമാഹാരത്തിനു ലഭിച്ചു. "
