Gamification creates an engaging learning environment that motivates students to change their behaviour. Progress is made through friendly competition, and rewards help to boost a sense of accomplishment. Team learning fosters collaboration across multiple locations, and each team can assess its performance, discuss areas for improvement, and plan its next engagement. There is a push to reduce live training, such as transferring a growing proportion of maritime training ashore and focusing on validating that synthetic training at sea, as is the case with many defence clients. Organizations can reduce the length of training, provide operational surge flexibility, and engage millennial recruits with a smart and exciting digital training experience by embracing new technology.
