To reduce the consumption of household energy Horizon Utilities Corporation partnered with Simple Energy and launched an online conservation and demand management pilot program that awards residential consumers with AIR MILES reward miles. This program was funded by Ontario Power Authority (OPA) and explains how virtual engagement can help people to reduce electricity reports. In the 'Take Charge Save Energy' program customers will receive a weekly report based on their energy consumption. Here participants can also learn about their energy usage, view leaderboard rankings, and earn rewards.
