There are many ways to attract customers and promote the brand of the company. Pocari Sweat one of the most famous Japanese soft drinks companies promoted their electrolyte drink in Indonesia through a game called Ionopolis. The game allowed the users to defeat monsters seen in the comic books who aimed to dehydrate the place. Players were allowed to share updates and checked out locations on Foursquare as well as on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. They were also rewarded for buying drinks. Check-in into particular places on Foursquare allowed users to carry out certain tasks.
