In 2010, to improve the engagement on the Psych's website NBC Universal's USA network took the help of gamification startup Bunchball. They launched a game program called Club Psych that allowed users to grab exciting prizes on completing various challenges. They also invented a feature in the mobile app that enabled users to earn points and unlock prizes by playing games while watching the show. With the success of Club Psych, the firm launched a new game called Hashtag killer, which entertained players with Facebook chats, clues, and puzzles. Till now hashtag killers grabbed more than 95 million page views from 300000 users (unique).
