Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been ruled by many dynasties over the millennia. Naturally, the various rulers have built many a fort for themselves. Many of these forts can be found even today, mostly in ruins. This multi-part series brings to you interesting information of these forts, including the names of the rulers who built them, their unique architecture, the wars fought there, and so on. Covered in this part is the 14th century Kondavedu Fort in current day Guntur District. This fort was built by the founder of the Reddy Dynsty.
