The two Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are extremely rich in folk arts. While some are famous, there are many other lesser-known folk arts that are unfortunately are dying out in the modern world. This 9-part PPT series is an attempt to record as many folk arts as possible so that future generations are aware of these practices. Covered in here are information about the various folk music and dance traditions in the states, the various musical instruments used, rituals and customs followed, some beliefs and superstitions that were and are still prevalent, storytelling traditions as well as other forms of visual fine arts.
