UN's definition is "all people, at all times, have physical, social, and economic access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food that meets their food preferences and dietary needs for an active and healthy life". Food availability, Food access and Food utilisation are the components of food safety. Availability implies sufficient food whenever required. Access refers to consistent supply of required food. Utilisation means a positive nutritional impact on all at home. Food security helps the agriculture to flourish. It opens doors for new business opportunities and economic development.
