Enugula Veeraswamy is popular for his travelogue in Telugu. In fact, this travelogue which talks of the author’s 15-month-long journey from Tamil Nadu to Varanasi (also known as Kasi) and back, written around 200 years ago, is the first such writing in Telugu. Therefore, this book holds a special place in Telugu Literature not only because of its depiction of the social and political across India in those days but also because it is the first of its kind in the genre itself. Interesting information about the writer, his life, experiences and his book have been brought to you in this presentation.
