Fertilizer

Presentations | English

Do we need to provide additional soil replenishment while farming? Farming is the act or process of cultivating land, planting seeds, and cultivating edible plants. Farmers frequently till the land after deciding what to grow by loosening the soil and mixing in nutrient-rich fertilisers. Fertilizers are used to replenish the essential nutrients for plant growth that have been depleted in the soil. Excess fertiliser may enter streams, creating nonpoint pollution sources. However, the three main components of all fertiliser mixtures are nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Certain ""micronutrients,"" such as zinc and other metals, are also present in some fertilisers and are required for plant growth. Please see this PPT for more information.
