Excimer Laser, Epitaxial Growth Techniques and Deposition Methods

Presentations | English

Excimers are a type of laser that emits intense pulses lasting nanoseconds or tens of nanoseconds at wavelengths in or near the ultraviolet, and the lasing medium is a diatomic molecule, or dimer, in which the component atoms are bonded in the excited state but not in the ground state. Excimer lasers are powerful ultraviolet lasers that use a gain medium made up of noble gases and halogens.Vapor-phase epitaxy, a kind of chemical vapour deposition, is commonly used to create epitaxial silicon. For compound semiconductors, molecular-beam and liquid-phase epitaxy are also utilised. Solid-phase epitaxy is used primarily for crystal-damage healing.
