My Childhood is the sixth chapter of the class 9 NCERT English textbook named Beehive. It has been proven that childhood has a huge impact on adulthood. The kind of upbringing, the environment and the qualities of parents are essential factors in morphing the behaviour and nature of a person. One such example is that of the life of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, an Indian space scientist and the 11 th President of India, who was among the founders of the Indian space and nuclear program and is hence rightfully regarded as the “Missile man of India”.
