Endangered Species in India

Presentations | English

How well do you understand Endangered Species? They are species that are thought to be facing a very high risk of extinction in the wild due to a sudden rapid decline in their population or the loss of critical habitat. Every year on the third Friday of May, people across the country gather to raise awareness about endangered flora and fauna. The IUCN Red List contains the following species: The Asiatic Lion is one of the world's most powerful lions. The Bengal Tiger, known as the "Big Cat" in our country, now has 70% of its total population in India. This PPT contains additional information.
