Emily Dickinson

Presentations | English

This presentation is entirely dedicated to Emily Dickinson. She was an American poet, and her poems are divided into three sections. Poems prior to 1861 were always sentimental and conventional in nature. The most creative period, with contributions to creative works, was between 1861 and 1865. During this time, she wrote a large number of poems, all of which dealt with themes such as nature, life, and mortality. Her contributions after 1866 are minimal. The poems she published were strictly edited to adhere to the rules. She almost always comes up with original ideas, such as short lines, no titles, slant rhyming, and unconventional capitalization.
