Elayile elayile is a song from the movie Kalam maarunnu. The music was composed by G Devarajan and the lyrics were written by O N V Kurup. K S George and team sang the song. KS George was a singer who captivated the hearts of Malayalam drama lovers for more than a decade and a half. George was educated in music by the small Unnithan Bhagavathar of Alappuzha and was born into a working class family in Alappuzha. He flourished in the world of drama through his revolutionary songs and came to the world of singing as a singer in 'KPAC' which was started by lawyer Rajagopalan Nair, Janardhana Kurup and Rajamani. Malayalees will never forget the songs in plays like 'You made me a communist' and 'Survey stone'. Later, George entered the film industry with the film 'Kalam Marunnu', produced by Kailas Pictures' Narayanan. His other songs in the same movie also became very popular. He passed away in 1989.
കാലം മാറുന്നു എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് ഏലയിലെ ഏലയിൽ. ഒ എൻ വി കുറുപ്പിന്റെ വരികൾക്ക് ജി ദേവരാജൻ സംഗീതം പകർന്നു. കെ എസ് ജോർജും സംഘവും ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചു. ഒന്നര പതിറ്റാണ്ടിലേറെക്കാലം മലയാള നാടകപ്രേമികളുടെ ഹൃദയം കവർന്ന ഗായകനായിരുന്നു കെഎസ് ജോർജ്. ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ ചെറിയ ഉണ്ണിത്താൻ ഭാഗവതരിൽ നിന്ന് സംഗീത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നേടിയ ജോർജ്ജ് ആലപ്പുഴയിലെ ഒരു തൊഴിലാളി കുടുംബത്തിലാണ് ജനിച്ചത്. വിപ്ലവഗാനങ്ങളിലൂടെ നാടകലോകത്ത് വിരാജിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം അഭിഭാഷകനായ രാജഗോപാലൻ നായരും ജനാർദ്ദനക്കുറുപ്പും രാജാമണിയും ചേർന്ന് ആരംഭിച്ച 'കെപിഎസി'ൽ ഗായകനായാണ് ഗാനരംഗത്തേക്ക് വന്നത്. 'നിങ്ങളെന്നെ കമ്മ്യൂണിസ്റ്റാക്കി', 'സർവേ കല്ല്' തുടങ്ങിയ നാടകങ്ങളിലെ ഗാനങ്ങൾ മലയാളികൾ ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കില്ല. പിന്നീട് കൈലാസ് പിക്ചേഴ്സിന്റെ നാരായണൻ നിർമ്മിച്ച 'കാലം മാറുന്നു എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെയാണ് ജോർജ് സിനിമാ രംഗത്തേക്ക് വന്നത്. ഇതേ സിനിമയിലെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ മറ്റു ഗാനങ്ങളും വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമാണ്. 1989-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം അന്തരിച്ചു.
