Eating Disorders

A mental disorder which can be explained by abnormal eating habits that negatively affect a person's physical as well as mental health. Mostly develop in adolescencs and young adulthood, it can affect upto 5 percent of the population. Evidence explain that gene and hereditary Mainly there are three types of disorders, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. In anorexia nervosa, the person affected start self starving which result in weight loss. This has the highest mortality rate as it is a very serious condition. The behaviour is driven by intense fear of weight gain or becoming fat. Bulimia nervosa is marked by cycles of overeating or binging and followed by purging to compensate the overeating. They can do over exercising or fasting or use laxatives or enemas to remove the extra food they have consumed. Binge eating disorder is out of control eating.
