On the contrary, some earthquakes are large and violent. Severe earthquakes almost always have devastating effects on nature. Earthquakes can cause severe damage to life and property. The after-effects of earthquakes can be traumatic. People lose their lives, houses, cattle, and peace of mind. If forces them to re-build their life from scratch. An earthquake occurs at a certain point in the earth's crust and suddenly forces a large rock to slide. This creates a shaking effect on the surface, which leads to fast and strong vibrations at the point. Due to the release of rocks, there is a large amount of energy in the atmosphere. If the effects of the earthquake are strong, its vibrations will also be felt in the adjacent districts. Earthquakes can cause different problems like landslides, soil liquefaction, fires, and also the infamous tsunamis. Earthquakes last only a few seconds, but they can cause unimaginable damage."
