E-Learning Pros and Cons

Presentations | English

Learning can get tiresome, but what if there was a way through which we can make it convenient? E- learning provides such a platform. Offline learning, school and college life is slowly becoming a memory amidst the outbreak of COVID- 19. Now E-learning and online classes have become more familiar even to rural people. One important advantage of it is the flexible schedule which means that students do not have to watch the lecture on real time but can watch the recorded version of it later on and it can even be watched multiple times. A lot of paper can be saved as e-materials and is available for studying thereby reducing deforestation. Moreover, online courses are cheaper as compared to offline classes. E-learning courses requires a high level of self-discipline because at home there are several distractions and at some houses a peaceful atmosphere for studying will not be there. This is a major drawback of e-learning. Lack of digital literacy and lack of accessibility of a computer or a mobile will be a great issue in this process. Time management plays a vital role even if the schedule is flexible. Thus e- learning have both pros and cons.
