The song "Dum Dum Dum Dundubhinaadam" was sung by Dinesh, Lathika, Choir. The music was composed by Bombay Ravi and its lyrics were written by O N V Kurup. This song was from the movie Vaisali. Bharathan directed and edited the 1988 Indian Malayalam-language period drama film. It was an adaptation of a sub-story told by Vedavyasa to King Yudhishtira in the epic Mahabharatha, produced by M. M. Ramachandran and scripted by M. T. Vasudevan Nair. O N V Kurup won Kerala state Film Award for Best Lyricist and P Krishnamurthy won Best Art Director. M. T. Vasudevan Nair's first script for Bharathan was this movie and Bharathan done the editing by himself.
"ദം ദം ദം ദുന്ദുഭിനാദം" എന്ന ഗാനം പാടിയത് ദിനേശ്, ലതിക, കോയർ ചേർന്നാണ്. സംഗീതം ഒരുക്കിയത് ബോംബെ രവിയും വരികൾ എഴുതിയത് ഒ എൻ വി കുറുപ്പും ആണ്. വൈശാലി എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഗാനമായിരുന്നു ഇത്. ഭരതൻ 1988 ലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ മലയാളം-ഭാഷാ കാലഘട്ടത്തിലെ നാടക ചലച്ചിത്രം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുകയും എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഒ എൻ വി കുറുപ്പ് മികച്ച ഗാനരചയിതാവിനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാർഡും മികച്ച കലാസംവിധായകനുള്ള അവാർഡിന് പി കൃഷ്ണമൂർത്തിയും അർഹരായി. എം ടി വാസുദേവൻ നായർ ഭരതന് വേണ്ടി ആദ്യമായി തിരക്കഥയെഴുതിയ ഈ ചിത്രത്തിൻ്റെ എഡിറ്റിംഗ് ഭരതൻ നിർവഹിച്ചു.
