"The 1970 movie “Nilakkatha Chalanangal” is an Indian – Malayalam language film directed by K. Sukumaran Nair. The story was written by Sunny Mammootil and produced by EK Sivaram for Santhi Productions Konni. The film stars Sathyan, Madhu, Jayabharati and Jose Prakash in the lead roles. The film had musical score done by G. Devarajan. The song “Dukhavelliyazhchakale…” is written by Vayalar Ramavarma and was brought to life by the melodious voice of P. Susheela. This song indeed has a devotional touch to it. The lyrics seem to be invoking someone, maybe the Lord Almighty, at time complaining and at times requesting. Good Friday is an auspicious day and the lyricist is calling upon the heavens lamenting about the misfortunes that came across him.
കെ. സുകുമാരൻ നായർ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ഇന്ത്യൻ - മലയാളം ഭാഷാ ചിത്രമാണ് 1970-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ "നിലക്കാത്ത ചലനങ്ങൾ". സണ്ണി മാമൂട്ടിൽ എഴുതിയ കഥ ശാന്തി പ്രൊഡക്ഷൻസ് കോന്നിക്ക് വേണ്ടി ഇ കെ ശിവറാമാണ് നിർമ്മിച്ചത്. സത്യൻ, മധു, ജയഭാരതി, ജോസ് പ്രകാശ് എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ചിത്രത്തിന് സംഗീതം നൽകിയത് ജി ദേവരാജാണ്. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതിയ “ദുഃഖവെള്ളിയാഴ്ച്ചകളേ...” എന്ന ഗാനത്തിന് ജീവൻ നൽകിയത് പി.സുശീലയുടെ ശ്രുതിമധുരമായ ശബ്ദമാണ്. ഈ ഗാനത്തിന് തീർച്ചയായും ഒരു ഭക്തി സ്പർശമുണ്ട്. വരികൾ ആരെയെങ്കിലും, ഒരുപക്ഷേ സർവ്വശക്തനായ കർത്താവിനെ, ചിലപ്പോൾ പരാതിപ്പെടുകയും ചില സമയങ്ങളിൽ അഭ്യർത്ഥിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതായി തോന്നുന്നു. ദുഃഖവെള്ളി ഒരു ശുഭദിനമാണ്, ഗാനരചയിതാവ് തനിക്ക് നേരിട്ട ദുരനുഭവങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് വിലപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് സ്വർഗത്തെ വിളിക്കുന്നു.
