Drug Treatment Of Alzheimer's

Presentations | English

Alzheimer's disorder is a type of memory loss or dementia where a person's ability to remember things or even respond to surroundings is lost. It’s a gradual neurological condition developed mainly with age, and it affects the normal being of an individual. The failure in functioning of brain protein, disrupts the work of brain cells. Hence damage is mainly caused to brain cells that increase with stages (early, mild and severe). There is no cure yet discovered for this disease. But medications can decrease the progression of disease to a certain extent and also can improve the symptoms. Cholinesterase Inhibitors is a type of drug used to boost the brain cell communications, which include donepezil, galantamine and rivastigmine. Memantine is used in combination with inhibitors, which have relatively fewer side effects. Let's see the topic in detail in our following presentation.
