Trying your hand at speed speaking can be both difficult and rewarding. The best way to approach speed talking is to begin slowly and gradually increase your speed. Consider learning to play an instrument. When a musician first picks up a new piece of music, he or she hammers out the notes slowly and methodically to ensure that they understand what's on the page. Once the musician's performance is smooth and accurate, they gradually increase their tempo, expressing the notes as they are written on the page but at a faster pace. Perhaps you've had a similar experience while learning to type. Talking is no exception. Some helpful tips are: Start with tongue twisters, Enunciate well, Breathe deeply, Control the breath, Breathe less during the course of your read to leave more room for words.
