Do Deadlines Destroy Creativity

Presentations | English

It's been said that creativity is intelligence having a good time. But don't you think that if a deadline is set, creativity would be stifled or that people will be compelled to work less efficiently? Deadlines will push us to concentrate on completing the task at hand rather than brainstorming new ideas. We can become emotionally weary if we are always chasing deadlines. As a result, there will be little incentive to be inventive. Even if we come up with innovative ideas, putting them into practice necessitates extra effort and research. With a short timeline, this will be tough, so many will fall back on routine and tried-and-true solutions. Everyone is unique. Some people can be creative under duress, and others will bring new ideas to the table. If there are no deadlines, people may continue to put off the activity in order to come up with a greater creative concept. We will be creative even if we have deadlines if we have become accustomed to being creative. It is possible to develop a habit of thinking and implementing creative ideas. We'll have plenty of time without a deadline, so we may consider why the plan won't work, as well as the prospect of failure. This has the potential to suffocate innovation.
