DNA the Ultimate Genetics

Presentations | English

Do you know the relation between DNA and Genetics? Genetic material is the hereditary substance in the cell. It carries all information specific to an organism. It is known as DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) or RNA (ribonucleic acid). The basic unit of heredity that occupies a specific location on a chromosome is known as a gene. Genetics is the study of how genes and how traits are passed down from one generation to the next. DNA is the molecule that is the hereditary material in all living cells. Genes are made of DNA, and so is the genome itself. A gene consists of enough DNA to code for one protein, and a genome is simply the total of an organism's DNA. DNA is essential for an inheritance, coding for proteins, and providing instructions for life and its processes. DNA dictates how a human or animal develops and reproduces, and eventually dies. DNA serves as a more stable carrier of the genetic information that is essential to survival and reproduction.
