The direction determines where things are in relation to one another. When we talk about things going in that general direction, direction can be a little hazy. Direction is more specific for geographic purposes. The four cardinal directions in geography are probably the most important: north, south, east, and west. These directions assist us in orienting ourselves no matter where we are. San Francisco, California, for example, is west of New York City, New York, in the United States. We must travel west to get to California if we live in New York. Here are some direction signs you might need to know and remember.
