Development Of Consumer Protection Laws In India

Presentations | English

The Consumer Protection Act strives to protect consumers from the marketing of items that pose a risk to their health and safety, as well as from unfair business activities by providing information about the standard, price, amount, potency, and purity of products. Consumers are safeguarded by laws and regulations against unfair contracts in addition to unfair trading. This means that contracts with unjust terms and conditions disguised in the fine print cannot be enforced and that the goods offered to consumers must be of adequate quality. The Consumer Protection Act of 2019 was passed by the Indian Parliament. The 1986 Consumer Protection Act is replaced by it. View this PPT for more information.
