The duties of dental office managers are many. Running a successful dental practice is a challenge every single day. Dental office managers serve as leaders in the practice. Their wide-ranging duties may include supervising staff, maintaining appointment schedules, coordinating patient treatment, or overseeing billing. They may discuss treatment and financial arrangements with patients, or work with vendors and insurance companies. Assisting dentists, hygienists and therapists with a variety of dental procedures. Preparing for and cleaning up after procedures, including the preparation of materials used in these treatments. Assisting the dentist during these procedures e.g. passing instruments, operating suction apparatus. A dental receptionist is responsible for making sure that the operations of a dental office run smoothly so that the dental professionals can concentrate on patient care and dental treatment.
