Cyber World

Presentations | English

We all live and work in a participatory cyberspace nowadays. This cyberspace is made up of computers, the data networks that connect them, and the services that are available via the networks. As cyberspace pervades nearly every aspect of contemporary living, playing, and working, it is becoming increasingly vital that people grasp its technological and political underpinnings, as well as its capabilities, dangers, and limitations. The objective of this set of courses is to provide students with the tools they need to comprehend, utilise, and manage the technologies involved, as well as to appreciate the legal, social, and political dynamics of this ever-expanding universe and the interplay between the cyber and physical worlds. The two courses address the fundamentals of computers as well as the history, structure, functioning, and governance of the internet. We also examine the technical and legal aspects that influence corporate usage of cyberspace.
