Contemporary Management Thought

Presentations | English

Contemporary management involves planning, leading, organising and controlling operations to achieve organisational goals. Managers at each level of an organisation are responsible for using resources effectively. Contemporary management is understood as “control of processes, resources and innovations in organisations, to achieve the intended goals within the existing possibilities, conditions and limitations in accordance with the economic and social rationality of economic activities”. Contemporary management theories teach managers on how to get the most of human assets. The contemporary management theories also help in encouraging staff to have more participation in decision making and improve interpersonal relations, between employees and with supervisors. Management theories help organizations to focus, communicate, and evolve. Using management theory in the workplace allows leadership to focus on their main goals.
