The Computer Applications program is designed to provide the skills needed in the use of application software on a computer. Applications covered include word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, the Internet, and the Windows operating systems. Examples of applications include word processors, database programs, web browsers, development tools, image editors and communication platforms. Five Computer applications that we use every day are Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office and Outlook, McAfee Antivirus, Adobe PDF. The Computer Applications program is for students who want to use the computer as a tool of productivity. From a simple life that man used to have centuries ago, our lives have evolved so quickly, all because of a powerful machine- the computer.
