Computer Aided Software Engineering

Presentations | English

Computer aided software engineering (CASE) is the implementation of computer facilitated tools and methods in software development. CASE ensures that software developed are of high-quality and defect-free. CASE also indulges in a disciplined approach and aids designers, developers, testers, managers and others to foresee the project milestones during development. CASE also serves as a storage space for documents pertaining to projects, such as business plans, requirements and design specifications. CASE elucidates an extensive set of labor-saving tools that are common in software development. It creates a specific infrastructure in which projects are organized to enhance productivity. The major tools in CASE have morphed into different functions, and thereby its popularity has been comparatively diminished. And moreover, at the time of its advent, the concept of CASE has been subjected scathing criticism. The basic idea of CASE tools is to analyze systems under development in order to enhance quality and come up with better outcomes. Throughout the 1990, CASE tool has been included in the software lexicon, and it was even used by big companies like IBM. Please check the presentation for detailed description.
