Competitive Exams

Presentations | English

Competitive examinations are tests where candidates are ranked according to their grades and/or percentile and then top rankers are selected. They are used as entrance examinations for university and college admissions and also for job selections. If the examination is open for 'n' positions, then the first 'n' candidates in ranks pass, the others are rejected. The purpose of competitive exams is not only to judge your talent but also to test your management and planning skills. The whole concept of any competitive exam is based on strategic thinking and smart work. To fare well in competitive exams, one needs to be focused and goal oriented. Rather than hard work, smart work lets you succeed. Being able to tackle and avoid all the distractions will also help to perform in such exams. Some ways to crack competitive exams are: set a preparation strategy, sort out a stud plan, go through the detailed syllabus and check the exam pattern, devote time for self-study and analyse previous year question papers.
