Communication Skills

Presentations | English

Do you hear or listen to what others say? Yes, it differs. Communication is ineffective if we just hear rather than listen. When you are listening to someone, you should be paying attention to what they are saying as well as their nonverbal language. Good communication is a bridge between clarity and confusion. So, it is necessary to enhance our skills to communicate with others. Communication skills allow you to understand and be understood by others. These can include but are not limited to effectively communicating ideas to others, actively listening in conversations, giving and receiving critical feedback and public speaking. You can learn and practice these skills to help you become an effective communicator. Strong communicators can accept critical feedback and provide constructive input to others. Feedback should answer questions, provide solutions or help strengthen the project or topic at hand. It is important to be clear and audible. These skills are habits that can be developed over time.
