Text abbreviations are so numerous that they almost deserve their own dictionary. There appear to be a plethora of ways to abbreviate words in English text messages, some of which are more common than others. Text slang changes with each generation, and a whole new set of abbreviations must be learned, especially if you want to stay relevant in your marketing messages, because even businesses use abbreviations in business texts.
