Cluster Computing

Presentations | English

The goal of any kind of application, computer system or a processor is meeting consumer expectations by rendering high grade performance. Cluster computing depicts a system that consists of two or more computers or systems often known as nodes. They work together as a single entity. These nodes work together for executing applications and performing other tasks. They are connected through fast local area networks(LANs). High performing clusters, load balancing clusters and high availability clusters are three major types of clusters. Clusters can be classified into open and close clusters. This system offers better and enhanced performance than that of mainframe computer networks. Cluster computing is manageable and easy to implement and resources can be added accordingly. Various complex computational problems can be solved. It can be used in the applications of aerodynamics, astrophysics and data mining. Weather forecasting, image rendering, earthquake simulation, petroleum reservoir simulation are other fields where computer clusters are useful.
