Cloning

Presentations | English

Cloning is the process of creating exact genetic copies of a biological entity. A clone is an exact duplicate. Clones can form naturally in some cases, such as when bacteria reproduce asexually and produce identical offspring. Identical twins are natural clones. There are three types of artificial cloning: gene, reproductive, and therapeutic. Gene type involves the formation of copies of genes or segments of DNA. As a result, it's also known as DNA cloning. The technique involves inserting an organism's gene into the carrier. Yeast, bacteria, and viruses are the most common carriers. The PowerPoint presentation contains a detailed description.
