Civil Disobedience Movement

Presentations | English

The picture of Gandhi and his followers to Dandi is forever imprinted in everyone's mind when we think about India's independence. This march was the beginning of the civil disobedience movement that later fostered a sense of resistance and rebellion in the minds of the common man. The call for civil disobedience was taken up by the layman as they followed Gandhi's peaceful resistance strategy. It was indeed a golden chapter in the history of India's freedom fighter movement with people from all sections of the society joining hands. The rich and the poor, the literate and illiterate and all binaries took up fierce resistance to the growing imperialism of the British. It was inaugurated on March 12, 1930, but its consequences are tremendous. Interested to know more about Civil disobedience. Look out for the upcoming presentation on the same topic.
